Anusmita Das holds a Ph.D. in Design from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Design, IIT Hyderabad. She has previously served as a faculty member at the National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh where she was part of the founding member of the institute. She has experience working with startups, translating complex concepts into clean, scalable designs for meaningful user experiences. 

She has worked extensively in the following key areas of visual culture, user-centered design, intangible cultural heritage, place identity, urban semantics and temporal urbanism.
