This course gives students an overview of the process of design. This overview is essential for them to appreciate the learning through various courses. This course aims to make the students conversant with the basic steps, their relevance, methods and approaches involved in the process of designing. This course seeks to introduce the design process and methods.

The students were encouraged to participate in the D'source Corona Design Challenge organised by the Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay as a part of their course assignment in Design Process. The Design Challenge encouraged the exploration of creative, innovative, and resourceful solutions that think beyond conventional boundaries. For the international D'source Corona Design Challenge, nine design problem areas were identified and the students were allowed to choose any area of their choice
